Wine

This intensely flavored, mouth-watering Sauvignon Blanc was harvested in the cool morning hours and whole cluster pressed. Two lots of juice were fermented using two different yeasts in a combination of stainless steel tanks and new and neutral French Oak Barrels with no malolactic fermentation. It was then aged sur lies in barrels and blended in Spring 2011.

2010 Sauvignon Blanc

Winemaker's Comments

This delicious wine is intensely flavored. Its bright and refreshing with crisp acidity. The initial hint is of grass and citrus combined opening in to a much richer lemon curd with hints of honeydew melon, pear and white peaches, and just a touch of spice from the new barrels. - Kevin Holt, Winemaker

Food Pairing

Fabulous with fresh oysters, seared scallops and poached salmon. Compliments dishes with light cream sauces, wild mushrooms, beurre blanc and fresh cheeses. At the ranch we enjoy it alongside bruschetta with fresh ricotta, carmelized onion, smoked figs and fresh oregano.
